Juuso’s Journey: From internship to employee of the year
Juuso joined Tasowheel in 2023 through an internship, which then transitioned into an apprenticeship. After completing his studies, he was offered a permanent role within the company.
Currently, Juuso works in the milling department. His tasks involve changing and finishing parts, as well as changing tools and checking dimensions. His interest in machining began during his schooling, where he discovered an aptitude and enjoyment for the work.
Juuso finds motivation in seeing the finished product of his labor, observing the transformation of materials into precise components. He also values the welcoming atmosphere at Tasowheel. He felt well-received by his colleagues from the start, always finding support and guidance that helped him integrate into the team quickly. This has facilitated his professional development, allowing him to move into more challenging roles in different departments as he gains experience.
Looking five years ahead, Juuso anticipates still being at Tasowheel, working with more complex parts as his experience grows. He also noted that being selected as one of the “Employees of the Year” was a significant achievement for him. For individuals beginning their careers, Juuso advises embracing mistakes as learning opportunities and continuing forward, as these challenges are not insurmountable.
