Anni’s Journey: Building Expertise Step by Step
Anni started with Tasowheel in early 2024 and has since become known for her reliable approach and collaborative mindset. Thanks to her proactive contribution, She has been recognized as one of the Employees of the Year.
Anni’s role involves several key tasks, including component and tool changes, machine maintenance, and setting up equipment and programs. She initially worked in the milling department and has since moved to our turning operations. Her path to Tasowheel began with her interest in downhill and enduro biking, which led her to work as a bicycle mechanic. A recommendation from a former colleague brought her to Tasowheel, where she is now studying machine and production technology as a machinist, with Tasowheel supporting her learning through an apprenticeship.
Anni is motivated by the satisfaction of completing tasks and building her skills. Her advice to those starting their careers is to be patient, as there is much to learn. She is proud of being named Employee of the Year, viewing it as confirmation that her work is valued. Support from former colleagues, such as Jean Manninen, has also been important. Anni notes that Tasowheel’s apprenticeship program has allowed her to develop professionally at her own pace, within a supportive environment where questions are welcomed. Many may not know that Anni is originally from Estonia and learned Finnish through speaking it, achieving a remarkable fluency. In addition to her work, she also competes at a national level in bicycle enduro racing.
