Tasowheel and PT. Petemico Otomasi Solusi Expand QCS in Indonesia

We’re expanding our reach in Indonesia with a new partnership between Tasowheel and PT. Petemico Otomasi Solusi (PETEMICO Automation Solution).

PETEMICO is led by Pete Teh, who brings more than 30 years of experience in automation for the pulp and paper industry. Pete Teh began his career in 1988 at Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper as an electrical engineer, where he was involved in electrical projects from the very start.

In 1991, Pete Teh joined Valmet Automation as a system engineer, supporting project start-ups across the Asia Pacific region. Over the years, he advanced to roles including Automation Site Manager, Service Manager, Country Manager for Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, and President Director of Valmet Automation Indonesia. Most of his professional life has been dedicated to pulp and paper automation, building strong customer relationships across Indonesia and Malaysia.

“I retired in January 2021 after about 30 years in automation. But in 2023, my family encouraged me to use my experience and network to build something new, to share knowledge and create jobs. That’s how PETEMICO was founded.”

PETEMICO is now further developing its system business in DCS, QCS/Profiler, and MCC. The company’s objective is to grow the automation business in Indonesia, strengthen its local sales, engineering, and service team.

Pete Teh has known Tasowheel’s technology since the early 1990s, when installations were completed in Indonesian mills during his time at Valmet. The formal QCS partnership began in 2024.

“With Tasowheel’s QCS and Profiler solutions, combined with DCS integration and our local engineering strength, we can offer competitive and practical solutions for pulp and paper customers. Quality, performance and strong local service are key. My expectation is to serve customers in Indonesia with reliable systems and long-term support.”
